We have finally moved to St. Louis!
We are starting to get settled after a chaotic few weeks. It all started the Monday before moving when we found mold in our storage unit. This lead to essentially repacking and cleaning everything before moving. We were able to salvage a lot of our things, but did have to throw away or replace a decent amount. This wasn't a fun process! However, my anger over what was damaged or ruined quickly turned into thankfulness over what we do have and have been blessed with. It's easy to forget these things, isn't it? There's something about personal abundance that can lead to an attitude entitlement. Everything we have is a gift. Renewed perspective was needed for me! We are beyond blessed and thankful for the things we have and by the next day I had God's peace about it all. Yes, we lost a lot of stuff. But it's only stuff that can be easily replaced or gone without.
We were beyond thankful for all of the friends and family that helped us transition from Cape to St. Louis. I had friends help me load our moving truck in the morning the day we moved and then friends and family who met us that evening to unload the truck! As I'm sure you all know, unpacking makes your home crazier before it gets better. Plus, unpacking with a 3 and 1 year old makes for an adventure!
After moving and settling we have been dealing with sickness one week after the other! Lucy had croup last week and now Emmie has an inner ear infection. This has left us tired, but we are so excited to finally be in STL! God is on the move and we can't wait to join in!
Please continue to pray for us. And if you're in STL we'd love to hang out!
(We're renting a condo in Brentwood, which is very centrally located. Our condo is on the 2nd floor, so that's been interesting getting used to with young kids!)
