St. Louis Church Plant

It is amazing for us to see where God has led us over the past 7 years by saying “yes” to his daily steps of faith. We would never have thought when we moved to Kentucky in 2014 to attend seminary that we would end up investing so much here. But 7 years, a M.DIV, and 2 daughters later we find ourselves 3 years deep into leading a discipleship network in Wilmore and across the world, in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. It is through listening to these daily nudges from the Lord that we have heard the call to take our experience in Wilmore, Kentucky and start a church plant in St. Louis, Missouri in the Fall of 2021!

We see our world desperately in need of the church. And not just the church building or services, but a movement of disciples of Jesus, who abide deeply with Christ and go out on mission with him in our world. How different would our communities look if followers of Jesus were all being transformed from the inside out, and aware of what God was doing in their daily lives and in people around them? We wholeheartedly believe that this would change the world - and is the heart behind why we want to church plant in STL.

We have learned over the past 3 years that this type of work takes our full time and energy as a family, and so we are in the process of attempting to raise the funds we need to support our income for the next 3 years until our church can be self-sustaining. This is a huge step of faith for us, but we feel confident it is what God is asking us to do.

Would you please continue to pray for us in this season? With big God movement comes a lot of enemy attack, which we have felt this month. Please pray for God to continue to give us a soft heart for the people in St. Louis, to prepare a community there that is hungry for more of God and for our ministry, and for God to make a way for us to do what he has called us to.

We have updated this website to make it a place of information and connection for those interested in our church plant and our vision behind it! We would love for you to check it out and share with whoever you think may be interested in what we are doing.

Thank you for your continued love and support, encouragement and generosity to us. We are so humbly grateful for this family that God has surrounded us with.
