Seeking Breakthrough Together

Today I realized I was believing a lie, that we are alone. In many ways, transitioning from Wilmore to Cape has been difficult. In Wilmore, we had spiritual family. People who knew us deeply and still loved us! I underestimated the impact it would have leaving this community as we transitioned to Missouri. I started believing we were all alone as we sought to follow Jesus. This is far from the truth! I'm embarrassed admitting that I thought everything was up to me and Kylie.

Jesus reminded us this morning that we are NOT alone! We have been encouraged by many of you, through text messages, phone calls, and even having us over for dinner (for those in Cape)! We are not planting our church, we are planting God's church. We are joining the Spirit in a movement that started thousands of years ago.This invitation is extended to us as well as YOU.

When we felt called to start a new church in STL we believed the Spirit wanted us to invite people into the ministry in one (or all) of three ways: financially giving, praying for us & the ministry, and connecting us with people in STL. We actually believe all three are equally important.

Today I'm writing to specifically ask if you will join us this Friday (8/13) by praying and fasting throughout the day for breakthrough on our housing situation. We need a place to live in STL! We know without a doubt that Jesus wants us in St. Louis (ASAP). We equally know there are spiritual forces that do not want us in St. Louis! Jesus is asking us to stand firm and to seek him with our community! (Check out Eph. 6)

Here's how you can join us Friday:

• Fast. Typically fasting involves abstaining from food, but for a variety of reasons this may not be best for some of you. If so, consider abstaining from TV, texting, talking, coffee, etc. Kylie and I will be fasting Thursday evening (after dinner) to Friday at 3:00pm CST.

• Listen to Jesus. We would love to hear anything you think the Spirit is saying (could be a Scripture verse, picture, encouragement, insight, wisdom, etc.)

• Ask for breakthrough! We ultimately need breakthrough on a place to live. Please seek Jesus on our behalf.

• What did Jesus say? PLEASE send us anything you think the Spirit might be saying to you for us. Do not hesitate to send us anything, we always discern what others have said with Jesus ourselves.

• Pray with us on Zoom. Join us Friday, 2:30pm CST, on zoom for 30min. (Message me if interested)
