Wow - October flew by for us and I know that means we are going to blink and then be in 2020.
This month we have been continuing our house fellowships, fellowship bands, and house church. We have also hosted two learning communities at our house which is a group of about 15-18 people who are committed to 4 sessions of teaching about the Inspire Way of Life. We spend the day teaching, having discussions, sharing lunch, and then participating bands together. It is also fun to see God bring just the right people to these groups and this time has been no exception. It has been a joy to see people grow in community together, sharing hardships and seeing God answer big prayers!
It has been sweet to watch Anthony flourish this month in his gifts God has given him. He co-taught the learning community with another Inspire missioner. God has also opened a lot of doors for him in terms of connections/relationships with others as well as increasing his vision for the ministry as a whole.
This month I have seen a real hunger for authentic and deep community and relationship with Jesus in others I am in community with. I really see that people are becoming so tired from this culture of image management and instead are diving quick and deep into real-ness with others.
I am interesting mix of loving predictability and safety but also have been given a gift of strong faith in the Lord (a gift I’m sure he gave me because without it I would never step out on a limb). This month I had a swing of doubt and frustration in the Lord for calling us to live in a way that does not make practical sense. I have been so thankful this month for my bands that allowed me a safe place to be angry, and also lead me back to the Father and reminded me of his truths he has spoken to me. How can we ever live this life of faith alone? I am more convinced every day that we need each other!
Please continue to pray for us this month. Most of all we are asking the Lord for more JOY that comes from him and not our circumstances. We are also seeking him for more vision for Inspire and our role in it. We are also thankful for a huge answer to prayer in terms of our health insurance. Our medical insurance through my employer ends January 2020 and God has provided a great option for us already that will give us some more room in our budget that we really needed. So thank you for praying for God’s provision for us and please continue to pray as we carry on this journey!
